Holiday Happenings

Getting into the holiday spirit with gammy's red hat.
We celebrated St. Nick's Day on December 6. Lucia put her shoes out in the hallway the night before. Since she was a good girl St. Nicholas left her a present in them.
Decorating the Christmas tree.
Lucia's visit with Santa. Not the happiest holiday experience, but a good first visit.
On Christmas Eve we opened presents gammy and gamps sent.

Christmas morning.
Stocking time!
Lucia's first Christmas.
Oh the glorious presents.
It took us three hours to open all the presents.
We took our time stopping to play with each toy and for breakfast.
It was a very fun morning.
Froggy Frenzy.Salmonella.
The holidays are soo sweet!

Hallway Hi-jinks

What could be better than some hallway hi-jinks with your mama and papa on a Saturday morning.

Second Annual Turkey Fry

We had our Second Annual Turkey Fry this year. Gammy, Gamps and Auntie Mary came to join in on the festivities.
Gamps and Rojelio dumping in the oil.

Gamps getting the fire extinguisher ready "just in case."

16.52lb turkey with the Cajun rub before frying.

The oil is ready. About to drop the turkey.
There she goes. sizzle. sizzle. sizzle
Our fry daddy.

The bird is cooked.

Lucia had her first Thanksgiving turkey dinner.
Oh how good it was!

Brief Cameo

Many fans of The Inner Loop have been inquiring about Whoozit.
Well you'll be happy to know Whoozit is doing well and loved more than ever. Since Whoo-Whoo has rigorous periods of activity he often has to take naps in order to recover for his next bout of fun.
Lucia & Whoo-Whoo
He gets lots of hugs . . .

. . . and kisses.
Whoozit is very much loved.

"I'd like to thank all my fans for your concerns and inquiring about me. I continue to be happy with my family, though wish my daily kisses weren't so wet." -- Whoo-Whoo Whoozit

Oh Kermie!

Last week Kermit packed himself up and took a trip back to Michigan.
He escorted Aunt Mary to her Halloween dance.
The pair earned the Most Creative Costume Award.
Kermit and "Miss Piggy" had a great time at the dance . . . they danced the night away.

Ribbit-or-Treat

Lucia's first Halloween.

She wanted to be a frog . . . . . . just like her buddy Tad. She picked out her own pumpkin. The perfect size. Tad dressed up as a ghost. Tad taught Lucia the art of fly catching. . . . waiting for flies . . . Lucia working on her frog kick. Exploring her habitat. Lucia the Frog enjoyed reading her spooky Halloween book, Five Little Pumpkins. Reading sure made this little froggy hungry . . . more fly catching was in order. Lucia spent the whole day as a frog. Since we only had 3 trick-or-treaters there was plenty of candy left over for our hungry frog.
. . . oh how sweet it is . . . only 57 more candy bars to go!
Happy Halloween!
